Myrtle Beach Shower

Last weekend Lee & I, with Bella-dog, headed to Myrtle Beach for a the weekend. It was a busy weekend–we had a family picture taken, the guys went dove hunting, there was lots of good food and a shower for our little girl!

Here are some pictures of the shower, hosted by my Mom's choir friends. It was a fun time to visit with friends that I have not seen in a while. They were so generous and our little girl received a lot of gifts!

Week 30

Our baby girl has definitely grown in the past few weeks since I posted a photo. I can feel her moving a lot, mostly in the mornings and at night but also during the day at work. Anytime I settle down, she gets started! We are now going to the doctor every 2 weeks and had an appt. today. We are measuring on track and the heartbeat is great. 10 more weeks to go...

Boat Trip

We have been taking short boat cruises across to Masonboro Island this summer. There is a small ramp just a few streets from the house and we can easily cruise down the waterway or over to some small islands. We all enjoy the time in the sun...but we think Bella loves it the most. Here are few pictures & a video from last weekend.

Someone's Happy!

And, here's Bella perfecting her digging skills!

Lee's Corner - Round 2

Where to start? It has been a while since I have posted on here....mainly due to the fact that I have been very busy around the house trying to get things ready for our little girl. Moving furniture from room to room to room to room to room, refinishing her chest-of-drawers/changing table, putting crib together, going shopping with E for baby stuff (ugh), and messing around with the boat ....the last one is more of a stress reliever for me.

I'm still in a little bit of a shock that we are having a girl. I think most guys instinctually want boys but I have given it some thought and am very happy about having a little girl. Unfortunately I am going to have to invest in some smaller artillery (paint ball guns / pellet gun) in about 15 years to keep those nasty boys off of my lawn. (I know Mom, I'm an old man in a young mans body).

I promise that I am going to try and be the best Dad I can and give her everything she deserves as she enters this great big world. I've already resided to the fact that she is going to have me wrapped around her little pinky from day 1.....3 months and counting........

Clemson Football

We got our Clemson Football tickets in the mail this week! Lee & I are both excited about this year, especially to see what Coach Swinney will do! Not sure exactly how many games we will both make it to. I really don't want to sit outside in the heat for too long, so I may not go in for too many games. But, we do have access to A/C at our space, so that's nice. I know for sure we plan on attending the first game of the year.

And, even if you don't wear orange, be sure to remember College Colors Day on Sept. 9 and support your favorite collegiate team. Don't worry about me, I have picked up some orange maternity wear. Go TIGERS!!

Week 25

We are 25 weeks along and only have 15 more to go until we welcome our sweet little girl home. We are busy waiting these days...for the crib furniture, bedding and glider/rocker/recliner chair.

Meanwhile Lee is diligently working to strip paint from a dresser that we purchased and will use as a changing table. This may be the first and last time I convince him that stripping furniture is fun side project. HA! He just might open his checkbook farther the next time I mention furniture refinishing.

A 25 week belly shot for your viewing pleasure!

Here is the bedding that we are waiting on. The Katie collection from Pottery Barn kids. It works perfectly with the existing room color. Now we just have to wait for the items to come off backorder! Thanks LuLu & Vance for the sweet gift! Lee & I both love it!
