Out with the old and in with the new!

I was fortunate enough to have a Mac PowerBook for the past 4 years. Unfortunately last week it crashed and burned. Lee says that I am a Mac snob and he's right. I breezed right past the PC section in Best Buy and headed straight for the clean and pretty Apple section. They just make things look so nice...who wouldn't love an Mac?

So, we are now the proud owners of a MacBook Pro. Hopefully over the next few days I can post with all the pictures we have taken over the past week. So sit tight...

One Month Old!

Happy One Month Birthday Sweet Girl!

What are you up to these days?
- You are holding your head up on your own for more than a entire minute and you do this over and over again each time.
- You are awake after you eat during the day and stay awake the longest in the morning and right before dinner. In the morning we will read or enjoy tummy time and snuggle with Bella. Before dinner we will hang out in the kitchen while we fix dinner.
- You are eating very well and often, usually every 3 hours.
- You really like your swing. And you love to be in your baby carrier with your dad while we walk with Bella or work in the yard or while he gets the boat ready for duck season.
- You have been on your first trip to Myrtle Beach and you have been to Wal-Mart, CVS, the bank and the grocery store.

We look forward to celerating each month with you!

First Tub Bath

Gracyn really enjoyed her first bath in her tub. She was kicked back and relaxing in her tub hammock. It won't be long before we are bathing like a big girl in the real tub!

All snugly and warm!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving. Gracyn played dress-up at MoneySunk on Thanksgiving Day. Here she is modeling her camoflauge attire (hand-picked by her daddy)!

We are so thankful for:
- Our little girl and each day that we have with her brings something new to enjoy
- Bella and that she is such a good watchdog
- Our family & friends, near and far, and all the love they have for our Gracyn
- And, that the Tigers have a chance to play for the ACC Championship game. Go Tigers!

We hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Three Weeks Old

Gracyn is three weeks old today! Tomorrow we are leaving to spend some time in Myrtle Beach and to celebrate Thanksgiving with Lee's family in Kingsburg, SC.

What have you been up to this week?
- You are spending more time awake, but most of your day is still spent sleeping!
- You eat every 2.5 to 3 hours and have gone 4 hours a few nights. This makes Mom & Dad very happy!
- You are a joy to be with and love to snuggle.
- You have been to the park for an afternoon walk in your stroller and around the neighborhood in your Baby Bjorn. You have also been out to dinner with Mom & Dad and slept the entire time!

I'm 1 Week Old!

We are a few days behind on this, but things have been a bit busy. Our first week has been a lot of fun, full of sleep deprivation, long nights and lots of love for our little girl.

Here's what we've been up to:
- Lee, Gracyn & I came home to join our family on Thursday, Nov. 5.
- We celebrated my birthday on Sunday, Nov. 8.
- And, we went to the Dr. for her 1 week appt. on Monday.
She was 11% under her birth-weight and had to go back in for a weight check on Tues. and on Friday she was at 7.55lbs or 8% of her birth-weight.

Gracyn, here's what you've been up to this week:
- Eating every 2 to 3 hours, with really great sleep in between
- Pretty incredible neck strength and will pull up when being burped or held
- You love to suck your hands and fingers, when they are available
- You love to swing and sit in your bouncing chair during nap time
- And, you love to snuggle up on Mom & Dad's neck for a nap.

Happy 1st week sweet girl!

~ Mom & Dad

Tiny Victories

Today we are celebrating one week with Gracyn, our tiny victories and realizing we have a lot to be thankful for. These tiny toes of our precious little girl are a week old today. It's amazing the life change that we have had over the past 7 days. Here are just a few...
Tiny licks from her big sister Bella,
Sitting in her bouncing chair that she hated just a few days ago,
And, swinging.
In the scheme of things, this may not be a lot. But around here these tiny little moments are a GIANT treasure for Mom & Dad.

The cutest cheerleader on the block.

A day in the life of a 4-day old is pretty much the same –– eat, sleep, eat, sleep, eat, sleep and diaper changes. It's amazing - the entire world has stopped around Lee & I as we care for this little bundle of love, with lots of love, hugs, kisses and snuggles. But, time is stopped in our house tonight and we are all tuned into ESPN to watch our Clemson Tigers play Florida St.

Lee's cheering is a bit restrained by the newest cheerleader in town.

WELCOME GRACYN ELIZABETH GALLOWAY!

Gracyn Elizabeth Galloway was born on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 1:35am. She weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 21" long.
We were admitted into the hospital on Sunday evening around 9:00pm and we technically began laboring around 1:00am Monday morning. 24 hours later we were blessed with our little bundle of love, Gracyn Elizabeth. Both Mama and Gracyn are healthy and doing well. Daddy is still trying to adjust to 2 hours of sleep per day.

Week 38 and 6 days

Here we are Sunday, Nov. 1 at 38 weeks and 6 days. It has been a great weekend of Tiger football (winning against Coastal Carolina), downtime at home, homemade Chocolate Chip cookies and waiting on our little lady to arrive.

Stay tuned.

Week 39

We had our 38 Week Doctor's appt. today. Everything looked really good, size measured fine and heartbeat was in the 130s. I'm still only 1cm dilated, so that was a bit of a bummer. I did mention that I felt less activity over the past few days, so they set us up for an ultrasound. Lee & I did not complain one bit and we had a chance to see our little lady again.

She is just fine–moving around really well. She has strong fetal breathing, which we learned is the diaphragm moving. And, just for Lee, it's still confirmed - It's a Girl! He has been quite concerned that she would be a he and have to wear pink for the first few days in the world.

Here's to 2 more weeks...Stay tuned.

Week 38

So, here we are at 38 weeks. Only 2 more weeks to go or 14 days - according to the countdown clock. Baby Galloway is officially full-term, so she can grace us with her presence at anytime! Lee & I can't wait to meet her and I know that all of you can't wait to learn her name. Not too much longer!

At the 37 week, 3 days appointment last Thursday, I was 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. So at this point, we are just waiting and that's about it. The room is ready, tiny socks and hats are washed, the car seat is installed and we are on go!

So...here I am 10 years later. This fall my fellow classmates from MBHS celebrated our reunion!

Week 35

Whoa Baby!

Here we are at 35 Weeks...just 5 more to go and Baby Galloway is making her presence known. This gal continues to be active - should Mom & Dad be worried??

We are progressing really well. I am not sleeping well at night, but they say that's preparation for many sleepless nights to come.

Can't wait to meet our little lady in just a few short weeks!

Hartsville Shower

Last Sunday, September 27 MeMe, Kathy, Vicki & Jayne hosted a sweet shower for Baby Girl Galloway at the Hobnob Gourmet store in Hartsville. We headed to Hartsville for the weekend and enjoyed a really nice weekend.

Lee went to the Clemson football game and got soaked with his dad and Joseph. I did not go and stayed warm and dry in Hartsville. Suzanne and I had a nice lunch at this really cute place - The Midnight Rooster and enjoyed some shopping downtown Hartsville.

The shower was Sunday afternoon and it was great to spend time with the "Hobnob Girls", family and friends. Our little girl received a lot of sweet gifts and we have spent the last few days getting everything unpacked, washed and organized. Her room is coming together and we hope to have it all finished up once the glider arrives (which should be this week!). Pictures to come of the room, but here are some from the shower.
