Week 19

We are at week 19, just 1 week from the halfway point of 20 weeks. I'm really growing now, it's easy to see as I look back at past photos.
This has been an exiting week, finding out that we are having a sweet baby girl and purchasing her crib. Of course, we can't have a post with including out Sweet Bella Girl!

Is it a Boy or Girl?
We went for our ultrasound this morning and everything looked really great; Heartbeat at 155 and Weight at 9ozs. Heart, kidneys, bladder, stomach and umbilical cord are all there and you can see this in the photos below.
So, here is the big news everyone has been patiently waiting to hear and apparently our little baby was needing some privacy. The tech, Dana, checked several times for the sex...but, either the legs were crossed or a foot was in the way. So, she continued on with checking the vitals, organs and size and would come back to check the sex a few times. So, I am sure you're asking "Well, did you see or not"? Well, we did and are excited to learn we're having a LITTLE GIRL!
Lee is out numbered, at least for now! And, he'll have to get used to his fishing buddy wearing a little bow in her hair. But, I know he will have so much fun and enjoy teaching her all about the things he loves to do.

Lee’s Corner
Hey everybody!!! I’ve been patiently figuring out how to handle a pregnant wife. So far it has been pleasant. I try to pick up a few extra chores and pick up my clothes that don’t quite make it to the hamper since E is busy growing our child. I’m getting very excited and am ready to find out what it is so I can go ahead and start shopping for baseball gloves and camouflage (just a hunch).
E has been a great pregnant wife so far. She definitely is Glowing and is looking prettier every day. Thankfully there has been no morning sickness or mood swings to deal with. I honestly think this experience has made our marriage 100 times stronger and I am ready to expand our little family.
There is still a lot of work that needs to be done to the house: moving furniture, painting rooms, buying new furniture, baby cloths, etc. I’ll leave all the shopping up to E….I’ll be the manual laborer.

Month 4 Doctor's Appointment
We had our monthly appointment this morning. Everything sounded great! We were able to hear the heartbeat for a few minutes. We also heard the little bleps of the baby moving around.
Our next visit is for the BIG ultrasound on June 17th!

Week 16

Here we are (Bella, Baby G and me, that is) at 16 weeks. Think someone is starting to feel left out?! Time is flying by and we are looking into furniture and bedding which I am finding to be really overwhelming. There are a lot of choices and I am having a hard time making a decision, which is really not like me at all!
Baby G is moving on up to the size of a naval orange, weighing 2 to 3 ounces and 4.5 inches. It's able to move around, breathe and suck...but, I have not felt anything yet. I am hoping to feel some action in the next few weeks.

Week 13
Here we are at 13 weeks. I have a little bump, barely visible under most of my clothes. My jeans don't button, so I'm getting help from the Bella Band! I have ordered some maternity pants & tops from The Gap and have a feeling I will be living in dresses this summer! We are moving through the vegetable aisle as we reach the end of the first trimester. Right now Baby G is about 3 inches long or the size of a peach. Intestines and vocal cords are developing this week. I am feeling a lot more energetic and am looking forward to the long warm days of summer.
