13 Months

Gracyn you are 13 months old.

Today at Children's Cottage you move up to the toddler room! We're very anxious about this move, because it will cause a lot of changes to your normal routine. First you will only take one nap. All Day! Second you will eat lunch with your classmates at a table together. I can only imagine how this works! And third, you will take a nap, on a cot. No crib. I'm really curious to see how this turns out! Your teacher's name is Miss Jess and she seems very nice. It's sad to see you move-on, this is a big step I feel like, but I know that they only thing you will being doing for a long time to come is growing. And, although I don't have a baby anymore, you're still my baby, so I'm allowed have a bittersweet moment!

Here's what you're up to these days:

Clothes: 12m / 6-12m

Diapers: Size 4

Naps: Just one! From noon-ish-3pm

Eating: Breakfast, lunch & dinner, plus 2 snacks. And man, for a tiny little gal you can eat!

Right now you enjoy breakfast with daddy and he makes you a waffle or cheese toast and you eat 1/2 a banana. You like cheese-its, nilla wafers, puffs and yogurt melts for snack. Dinner is usually chicken, pork or beef. You still love corn, peas, carrots, green beans and asparagus. You loved sweet potato at Thanksgiving too.

Favorite books: Peter Rabbit lift-the-flap; Moo, Baa, La, La, La; anything with a flap to turn or texture

Gracyn 12 Months

Dear Gracyn,

You are 12 Months old. You are a beautiful, happy, smart, funny and BUSY little girl. You have brought joy, happiness, smiles and constant laughter to us! We are amazed everyday by how quickly you learn, how much you enjoy books, the way you smile & laugh at Bella. You have changed so much since just a year ago when we brought you home, clueless and unprepared for being parents. Oh, what you have taught us!

Here's what you've been up to:

Stats: weight - 19lbs, 5oz :: Length - 31inches

Diapers: Size 3 day / Size 4 night

Clothes: some 6-12 months, 12 month & 12-18 months

Teeth: 2 bottom and 4 top, maybe some molars...but you will not let anyone out a finger in your mouth! {You do like to stick your fingers in our mouths!}

Sleeping: You are still a great sleeper, when napping at home. You take long uninterrupted naps, sometimes for 2.5 hours.

Favorite Foods: Pasta, cheese toast, bananas

New skills: Climbing, you improve at walking everyday!

What do get when you mix a Monkey, Zebra and Lamb? Wild Halloween fun. These cutie pies had a fun Halloween playing, eating, playing and trick-or-treating. We had fun with our little sock monkey!

11 Months Picture

This time next week we will be preparing for a certain little gal's first birthday party. This time a year ago we had no idea we would soon meet such a sweet, precious gift from God. I can't believe how much she has changed our life, for the best of course! So here's our last monthly pic post – she's still 11 months old for another week–since we've become mobile it's become increasingly challenging to capture her sitting still.
